Mrs. Comins was born in the village of Somerville, St. Lawrence county, and was a daughter of Reuben Nott and Olive Bailey Nott. Her father was for many years a prominent citizen of St. Lawrence county and was at one time sheriff of the county.
Mrs. Comins' husband died about 30 years ago. For many years she had made her home with her brother, J. Wallace Nott, on State street. She was the oldest of a family of eleven children, and is now survived by five brothers, Christipher and Theodore of Denver, Colorado, Sylvester of Hart, Mich., Copley of New York and J. Wallace of this city. She is survived by a step-daughter, Miss Lestine Comins of Denver, Col.
