Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Ann Culler, widow of the late Egbert Culler, of Pinnacle, was held at the Mount Zion Methodist Protestant Church near Pinnacle yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. A. L. Hunter, pastor of the church conducted the service.
Mrs. Culler, who was 66 years old and had spent her entire life in Surry County, was one of the most widely known and highly esteemed woman of that section. She became affiliated with the Mount Zion Church in early womanhood and steadfastly clung to her Christian life.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. William C. Stone, who celebrated her hundredth anniversary last Saturday; three sons, F. D., J. E., and D. W. Culler, all of Surry County; three daughters, Mrs. Martha Edwards of Surry County, Mrs. Jennie Short and Mrs. Dixie Short, both of Greensboro; three brothers and two sisters; and twenty-seven grandchildren.
