Born April 13, 1985, in Catawba County, he was the son of William and Wanda Meadows Wright.
Darrin was a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy. He served two tours, in Iraq, with the Marines and one tour, in Afghanistan, with the British Army.
He worked with the Newton-Conover Rescue Squad. A loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him. Darrin was an avid NASCAR and UNC fan.
Survivors include his parents, William and Wanda Wright, of Hickory; brothers, Daniel Wright, of Hildebran, Baxter Williams and wife, Tracie, of Hickory, DeThorn Graham, of Hickory and Ray Teague, of Catawba; brothers by heart, Michael Bowkley and Daniel Benfield.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, July 2, at 11 a.m., at Catawba Funerals and Cremations, with the Rev. Brian Alexander officiating.
Burial will follow, at Catawba Memorial Park.
