Angela graduated from Kingston high school. She also graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Paterson, New Jersey in 1935. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing education from College Misericordia. She retired in 1979 from the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Plains Township where she was employed for 40 years. She was the sister of Mary Graham, Joseph A Hughes, Thomas V. Hughes, and Elizabeth Williams, Media, Pa.
