Johnny Calvin Ramsey, age 78, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, died June 28, 2013.

He was born September 12, 1934, in El Paso, Arkansas to the late Thomas Jefferson Ramsey and Stella Corrine Griffith Ramsey.

Mr. Ramsey lived his Christian faith through his life, was an active lifelong member and Deacon of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock.

He worked in the retail grocery and grocery brokerage businesses for over 50 years and provided lots of candy to the kids at church.

He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, activities at church including coaching his daugher's softball team and spending time with his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers Thomas Ramsey, J.H. Ramsey, Jimmy Dale Ramsey, William "Bill" Ramsey and Fred L. Ramsey, two sisters, Bobbie Moncrief, and Patsy Martin.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wadena Wallace Ramsey. He is survived by three sons, Johnny Ray Ramsey and daughter-in-law Debbie Darling Ramsey of Little Rock, Ronnie Earl Ramsey and daughter-in-law Bonni Massey Ramsey of Irving, Texas, Roger Dean Ramsey of North Little Rock, a daughter, Ronda Sue Ramsey May and son-in-law Elden May of North Little Rock, grandaughter, Logan Bost of Fayetteville, grandson Kyle Meissner and wife Emma Geyer Meissner of Nashville, Tennessee, grandaughter Kati Scott, husband Nick Scott and great-granddaughter Kyli Scott all of Springtown, Texas, one brother Danny Ramsey of Cabot, five sisters Jefferene Hoofman of Vilonia, Theda McGhee of Perry, Dorothy Orr of Texarkana, Sandra Roberts of Scott, and Debbie Wright of Perry, sister-in-law Brenda Noblett Ramsey of Vilonia and bother-in-law Larry Martin of Vilonia.

Visitation will be at 10:00 am followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 am Monday, July 1, 2013, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas, officiated by Pastors Fred Holmes and Jeff Hulsizer.

Burial will follow at Hazen Cemetery, Hazen, AR. at 3:00 P M.

Pallbearers are Dennis Webb, John Webb, Todd Hill, Jerry Elliot, Joe Foster and Ray Carroll.

Honorary Pallbears are the Family Deacons of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund.
