Donal E. Boley, 85, passed away on June 27, 2013 in Wichita Falls. The Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Grace Church with Tom Rodgers officiating. There will be a visitation at the church following the service. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 1, 2013 in Crestview Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Donal was born in Vernon*, Texas on October 3, 1927. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1945 and from Midwestern (State) University in 1949. After a brief time as a teacher and entrepreneur, he became an insurance adjuster. In 1962, he founded a small insurance agency, Boley-Featherston, which grew to be the largest agency in the North Texas area. In 1986 he was an organizing founder and chairman of the board of the new First National Bank of Wichita Falls.
He was a leader in many local civic and charitable organizations. The agency closest to his heart was the Salvation Army. He was a "life-member," served actively on the board for many years and held chairman position. For many decades he was seen all over town ringing the bell at Christmas time. His family, along with a few other families, were part of the original founders of Grace Church.
He is survived by his wife Sherry, sister Margret Ann Fromme, and lifelong friend Al Flack. His children, Donna Jo Jackson, Bart Boley and his wife Roxann, Craig Lile and his wife Robin, and Brad Boley, and step-children Lyle Reid and wife Trish and Leslie Hawthorne. Grandchildren, Leeann
