Chesapeake - Linda Lee Massey, 66 passed away in the comfort of her home after a battle with cancer on Friday August 3, 2012. She was the daughter of late Jack Reem. Linda graduated from Norview High School; and was a retired school bus driver for the city of Portsmouth. She had a great love for her children, grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them, spending time with them and sitting outside watching them play in the pool.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 40 years, Danny A. Massey; her mother, Elnora Phelps Reem; three daughters, Patricia A. Mason and her husband James, Donna L. Whitley and her husband David and Cathy L. Shelburne and her husband Chris; two sisters, Pat Sheets and Barbara Meyer; a brother, Buddy Phelps; five grandchildren, Wally and fiancée Shanon, Brittney, Amber, Jessica and Christopher; a great granddaughter, Madison; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Entombment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m.
