Dr. Charles Frank Jordan Jr., 82, husband of Claudia C. Jordan, died Friday, March 25, 2011, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born in Atlanta, Ga., he was a son of the late Charles F. Jordan, Sr. and the late Florence Phillips Jordan. Dr. Jordan was a chemistry professor most recently at Central Carolina as well as Vanderbilt University, the University of Mississippi, and the University of South Carolina. He was also employed in the research and development department of CP Chemical in Sumter for several years. He was an inventor with patents, a published writer, and a licensed pilot. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Frank Jordan.
