Boyne City - Vivian Frances Holden, ten years of age, died Tuesday morning at six o'clock, in the Petoskey hospital following an operation for appendicitis.

The child, a likeable little school girl, was chronically afflicted and could not survive the shock of the operation. The body was brought home yesterday afternoon and taken to the Wilson home, 616 East Main Street.

Mr. H.R. Holden, the father, employed at Williams, Arizona, Mrs. Holden makes her home at the Main street address above. Other surviving relatives are two brothers, Floyd of this city and Clyde of Allensville; four sisters, Ruela and Louise Holden and Mrs. Lena Wilson of this city and Blanche Wilson of Central Lake.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.
