Suffolk County lawyer and insurance broker.

Son of Hezekiah and Mary Barker. Moved to Greenport from Rhode Island.

Attended Lafayette College, Easton, PA; graduated 1885. Attended New York Law School; graduated 10 Feb 1899.

Principal of a "little red schoolhouse" and later "the old schoolhouse" in Mattituck.

Survived by wife Martha Davis Barker, and sons Robert (Brooklyn, NY) and John (Glen Cove, NY).

Burial in Bethany Cemetery.
