"A.U. Harvey, known as Wyman Harvey, was born August 14, 1872 at Morrisville [Mooreville], Indiana. He was baptized into the Quaker Church."
"He moved to Exira [Iowa] with his parents, brother and sister at an early age. He was a self-educated man, After attending school through the eigth grade, his school days were over as he had to help support the family due to the death of his father."
"Outside of his own family, horses were his love. He, when a young man, trained horses for track. He was a starter for horse racing at the Audubon County Fair many years."
"Wyman was a business man. In early years, he was employed as cahier at the Exira Exchange State Bank and later with the government corn and hog program. He farmed many years, also. His prize horses during his farming years were four white Arabians - Mark, Easter, Don and Snowball. He also clerked farm sales in the area."
"In 1904, he married Genevieve Mae Snyder. Jennie, as she was called, was born January 11, 1882 in Marshall, Michigan. She came to Exira at the age of 11 years, following the death of her parents. She had an interest in music and talent for memory speaking. She devoted her life to her family and home and was dedicated to the Exira Christian Church. She died Christmas morning, 1947."
"Several years after Mr. Harvey's wife died, he married Myrtle Peppers. Myrtle died March 10, 1975 and Wyman died December 9, 1963."
"Wyman and Jennie had two daughter, Ruth and Ethel. Ruth was born December 9, 1905. She married Robert T. Mullenger of HAmlin Township, December 23, 1929. They farmed northwest of Exira until Mr. Mullenger's death, March 19, 1971. Ruth taught the rural school near their home several years then the Gray Elementary School, north of Audubon, until retiring."

"Ethel Harvey was born November 18, 1907. She married Henry H. Petersen, August 28, 1929 in Exira. They are members of the Exira Christian Church. They devoted their life to farming and raising four children..."
"The Petersen retired and moved to Exira in the fall of 1972 after being on their farm, Henry's home place, thirty-eight years. Ethel has been an employee at the Audubon County Journal for several years."
