Laura Mae Dunn, 85, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Butler, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 2, 1928, in Beaver, Pa., to the late Robert Dale Dunn and Edna Cecelia (Frost) Dunn.
Laura was a 1946 graduate of Butler High School, and she graduated in 1950 from Allegheny College.
She worked as a secretary at the St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church and for Dr. Isler's office in Butler. She also worked as a loan officer at the Central Penn Bank in Paoli, Pa., retiring in the early 1980s.
Laura delivered Meals on Wheels in West Sunbury, and she loved to read.
Miss Dunn is survived by two brothers, one sister, and two nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Dunn.
Friends of Laura Mae Dunn, who passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be immediately following at noon at the funeral home, with Pastor Robert Huber of the North Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
