Conrad Lamb, OSB and the late James H. Lamb, residence Sacred Hearts' Convent, 47 Prospect Place, Fall River. Funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 A.M. from Sacred Hearts' Convent, followed by a funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10 A.M. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery. Sister Rose Lamb, SUSC, died Tuesday at Sacred Hearts Convent at 47 Prospect Place, Fall River, where she resided. She was 71. She held numerous teaching assignments, mainly at Sacred Hearts Academy and the College of the Sacred Hearts, both in Fall River, and at Bishop Cassidy High School in Taunton. She also served in Grand Rapids, Michigan from 1972 to 1981 and returned to this area as director of religious education at St. Mary's Church in South Dartmouth. She retired in 1987.
A graduate of St. Mary's High School in Taunton, she attended Sacred Hearts School of Education. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Catholic University and later a master's degree from St. John's University. She continued her studies at Boston College and later earned a master's degree in religious studies from Aquinas Institute in Chicago. She entered the Holy Union Sisters in January 1936 and professed her perpetual vows in Aug 1943.
Born Rose Frances Lamb in North Dighton, she was the daughter of the late William and Cathryn (Wyatt) Lamb. She leaves a brother, William Lamb of Woodland, California; two sisters, Eileen Zalewski of Westport and Charlotte Moton of Oregon; and several nephews and nieces.
