ROBERT JEAN GIBEAU, age 79 of Grand Rapids, MN died Friday, June 28, 2013 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Bob was born in 1934 in Oklee, Minnesota to Arthur and Bernice Gibeau. He grew up and graduated from high school in Oklee, MN. Bob was united in marriage to Marlys Ranger on July 31, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MN where they made their home. He was employed with the Lakeland Creamery and then owned and operated Northwest Maintenance until his retirement.

Bob was a member of the Good Sam Club, Loyal Order of Moose, the Eagle Ridge Senior Golf League and the stock car racing Pit Crew for #23, Jolly Green Giant.

He enjoyed camping, golfing, playing cribbage, gardening, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Bob always had a nickname for everyone.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Charles and Donald Gibeau; sister, Sandy Diede; and his grandson, Timmy Nelson.

Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Marlys; two daughters, Pam (Mike) Mallum of Bovey, MN, and Roxanne (Tom) Nelson of Coleraine, MN; two sons, Colen (Cindy) Gibeau of LaPrairie, MN and Jim (Linda) Gibeau of Grand Rapids, MN; two sisters, Gail (Tom) Carpenter and Eileen (Roger) Harrison, both of Grand Rapids, MN; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Annie.

A visitation will be Wednesday, July 3rd from 10:00 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. Memorial Service at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, MN. Rev. Fr. Paul Larson will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Itasca-Calvary Cemetery.
