ETHEL HOUSTON CURBO CAUDLE ARMONTROUT

NEW HOME--Services for Ethel Armontrout, 96, of New Home will be at 2 p.m. today, August 28, 1983, at First United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Rick Wolfe, pastor, officiating. Assisting will be the Rev. Vernon O'Kelly of Dimmitt.

Burial will be in Tahoka Cemetery under direction of White Funeral Home of Tahoka.

Mrs. Armontrout died just before midnight, Saturday at Shepard hospital in Burnet after a brief illness.

She was born in Hamilton County, attended Carlton schools and married John Wesley Armontrout on April 28, 1915, in Carlton. (Her first husband, Claude Caudle, had died in 1914 in Hamilton County.) Mr. and Mrs. Armontrout moved to Lynn County in 1933. He died Sept. 22, 1972.

She was a charter member of New Home United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Mack of Granite Shoals and Roy of Dallas; two sisters, Allie Nail of Dallas and Lula Walton of Glen Rose; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Claude Caudle and Charles Benton Armontrout.
