C. Glenn Hirlinger, 82, of 3154 Parker Drive, died at Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital at 4:15 p.m. Thursday after a brief illness. Hirlinger retired from Mac-It Parts after 25 years of service. He was last employed for Bible Visuals, Lancaster. A veteran of World War I, he served in the Army in the Medical Corps. He was a member of Lancaster Grace Brethren Church. He also played the bass drum for the Malta Band for 27 years. He was a member of Howell Lodge 40, Free and Accepted Masons, Honey Brook; Lancaster Lodge of Perfection; and Scottish Rite Valley of Lancaster, and he was a 32nd degree Mason in the Harrisburg Consistory. Additionally, he was a member of Forest 27, Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Born in Huntingdon Mills, he was a son of the late William and Dora Belles Hirlinger and the husband of Jacqueline Carrigan Hirlinger. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Kathy Fair, at home; a son, Michael G., at home; two grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Knops, Kingston. (Lancaster New Era - Aug 27, 1982)
