Flossie James Menasco, 96, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Landsun Homes in Carlsbad, NM.
There will be no visitation.
A Graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, June 29, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Carlsbad Cemetery with Dr. Larry Krueger officiating.

Flossie James Menasco was born May 29, 1917 in Arch, Oklahoma to John Wesley and Melinda (Warner) James. She married Robert H. Menasco on August 15, 1936 and they were married 69 years when he passed away in 2005. They owned the Menasco Grocery Store in Dow, Oklahoma and later she and Bob moved to Carlsbad in 1961, she managed the Salvation Army Store for several years. She was a Sunday School teacher and helped with many youth group activities. Flossie loved to read and enjoyed playing bingo and other games. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; son, John H. Menasco; 2 brothers: Alva and J. B.; 5 sisters: Reba, Retha, Elsie, Opal and Virgie.
Survivors are her son, Eddie Menasco and wife, Phyllis of Carlsbad, NM; grandsons: John Robert Menasco of Maumel, Arkansas, Steve Menasco of Carlsbad, NM, several great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Earp of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews.
