Tarpon Springs, Feb. 9—Mrs. Amelia Aikin, 77, died Monday in the Tarpon Springs hospital, where she was taken following an accident on Jan. 31, when she was struck by a car driven by Sam Gavin, son of Dr. and Mrs. C. A. Gavin. Mrs. Akin was crossing the street and walked into the path of the car in front of the city hall. Mrs. Aikin, a native of Vermont, had lived in Tarpon Springs a number of years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock with Rev. Robert Gee Witty of Trinity Methodist Episcopal church, officiating. Interment followed in Cycadia cemetery. ---Tampa Tribune: 2-10-1932
