She was born July 8, 1913, in Long Island, N.Y., and and came to Sarasota in 1942 from New York City. She retired as a dressage circus performer for the Ringling Brothers Circus, was associated with King Brothers Circus and Clyde Beatty Circus. She was a member of St. Martha's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Marsha L. Shmalo of Highlands, N.C.; sisters Hila Canneto of Albany, N.Y., and Helen Martel and Dorothy Ward, both of Sarasota.
Visitation will be from 7-9pm today at Palms Funeral Home. A Mass will be celebrated at 10am Monday at St. Martha's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sarasota Memorial Park.
