Married 18 April 1882 to George (1856-1924) Lumby and lived at Deckerville, Michigan, intil the year 1889 when the family moved to Bookings, North Dakota.
On 4 Nov 1907, moved to South Dewey community, settled on a farm and has been her home since.
Suvivors, two daughters, Mabel Bixby and Ethel Swan; three sons, William, Tracy, and Walter.; two sisters, Lucy Daggett of Michigan and Nettie Lee of Los Angeles, Ca.; four grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. She was a faithful Christian and a loving mother.
Taken to the Lutheran Hospital at Eau Claire on Tuesday last week where she passed away Wednesday noon. She was one of the early settlers in this community and was a hard working, good christian woman, very active in all church work until the past few months when her health failed her so badly.
Funeral services were conducted from her home and the South Dewey Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon, 15 May 1938 with Rev. F.J. Smith in charge.
Pallbearers were Herman Swan, Eric Swan, Andrew Hillman, August Peterson, Sterl Albee and Royal Rustong.
