William L. Ansell, 80, of Garden, Michigan died June 12, 2013 at the Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility in Manistique.

He was born February 3, 1933 in Manistique, Michigan the son of George and Adele (Cota) Ansell. He attended school in Garden and at Puffy Creek and was a graduate of the Cooks High School.

Bill was formerly employed at Fisher Body Co. in Lansing, MI, and at the Caterpillar Co. and Allis-Chalmers in Milwaukee, WI. He later worked as a commercial fisherman on the Great Lakes and in Alaska, and retired from working on building construction.

He enjoyed driving stock car in the Milwaukee Circuit and being a Senior Companion. He also enjoyed playing in the pool leagues, fishing and traveling.

Bill is survived by his sister, Lois Beaudre-Saxon of Garden; brother, Francis (Denise) Ansell of Garden; son, Greg Jenerou of Thompson; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Adelle and David Thill; his father, George Ansell; his sisters, Geraldine Betts and Sally Aurhammer; and his brothers, Lloyd Ansell and Homer Ansell.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the New Garden Cemetery in Garden Township. Pastor Darrel Pizzala will officiate.
