Whiteville-Nancy Greene Israel, 82, was called home by her Heavenly Father on June 27th, 2013. Nancy had been resting comfortably with her family at home in Baldwin Woods, Whiteville NC. Nancy was born November 25, 1930 to John Wesley Greene and Christine Wilson Greene of Hallsboro, NC. Nancy was married to Edwin (Ed) Julius Israel on December 11th. 1949. They were happily married for over 60 years until Ed's passing in Feb. 2011.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Louise Hill and several brothers and sisters in law.
Nancy is survived by her son, Edwin (Eddie) Julius Israel Jr, her sister Lois Smith, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:30 until 7:00 PM on Saturday June 29th at New Life Christian Center, 107 Maultsby Street, Whiteville NC.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday June 30th at 2:00 PM on at Hallsboro United Methodist Church on Hallsboro Road S in Hallsboro NC. Interment will follow at Pierce Cemetery, Pierce Cemetery Road, Hallsboro NC.
