Paul R. Pulley, Jr., 88, Marion, passed away at 5:04 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2013 in Marion General Hospital. He was born in Marion, Indiana to the late Paul Sr. and Clarine (Hornbeck) Pulley. He married Mable E. Oswalt on August 11, 1946. She survives. He graduated from Daleville High School in 1942 and served in the United States Navy from 1942 – 1946. He worked at Lowe Brothers in Marion from 1952-1970 and Ream Steckbeck Paint Company from 1970 – 2000 in the Wabash and Marion stores.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mabel E. Pulley; son, Michael S. (Shirley) Pulley, Jonesboro, IN; daughter, Cheryl M. (William) Peterson, Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Susan (Brad) Morgan, Catharine (Marnell) White, Jennifer Jones, Maggie Pulley, and Jason Pulley; 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Patsy Ryder and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his 3 brothers, Harold, Robert and Marvin Pulley.
Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, Indiana, with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
