Joseph Richardson, 85, 315 Cragmont St., died yesterday at 3:40 p.m. at King's Daughters' Hospital.

He was a native of Clark County, a retired carpenter and a World War I veteran.

He is survived by one son, George William; one daughter, Mrs. Nina Andrews; one step-daughter, Mrs. Julia Potter; all of Madison; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Nellie Richardson, Indianapolis.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lytle Mortuary, with burial in Springdale Cemetery.

Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 until 9 p.m. tomorrow.
