Charles (Cliffton) Vandergriff
of Midvale, Utah passed away on
July 2, 2003 in Salt Lake City,
Utah of an extended battle with
Alzheimers. Funeral services will
be on Monday, July 7, 2003 at
Goff Mortuary in Midvale, Utah
with burial in Sunset Gardens.
He was born in the Vandergriff
Hollow of the Dry Creek area of
DeKalb County on July 24, 1918.
After graduation from Liberty
High School in 1939, he joined
the United States Air Force
serving the length of World War
II. Among the stations he served
were Elgin Air Force Base and
Panama. While serving his
country at Fork Kerns, Utah, he
met and married Eunice Jackson.
They had one daughter Joyce
Ann. He was retired from the
United States Postal Service.
Mr. Vandergriff was preceded
in death by his parents, Charlie
E. and Delia Ann (Robinson)
Vandergriff, and two brothers:
Howard and John D.
Vandergriff. Survivors are his
widow, Eunice Vandergriff...
Mr. Vandergriff always loved
his "Home" and his family. He
last visited Tennessee in 1997
and enjoyed attending the
Jamboree.
