Mr. William L. Drake of Fredericksburg passed away on Tuesday June 25th at his home at the age of 84 years.
William was born May 18, 1929 in Rock Island, TN to Murray T. and Linnie Moore Drake. William married Madeleine Hyde on September 7, 1951 in Fontana Village, NC
William is survived by his wife Madeleine Drake of Fredericksburg; Five children and spouses: William L. and Kat Drake Jr. of Lyons, CO, Roderick Drake of Cheyenne, WY, Valerie and Gerald Albert of Wichita, KS, Pamela and David Cantu of Fredericksburg, TX, Jonathan and Veronica Drake of Dallas, TX, Six grandchildren and Brother: Murray and Jeanie Drake of Wilmington, NC.
Along with his parents, William was preceded in death by a brother, Donald M. Drake.
Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home of Fredericksburg. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Good Samaritan Center, Nimitz Foundation, or to the charity of one’s choice.
Visitation will be held in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home of Fredericksburg.
