BECK, William "Bill" Age 81, passed away June 26, 2013, in Lancaster, California. He was born on December 2, 1932, in Paris, Arkansas. His family moved to Oxnard, California in 1942, where he attended Oxnard Union High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Before joining the Navy he lived in Boron where he met and married his wife, the former Wilma Jean Shipp. They moved to Lancaster where they lived for 60 years. After retiring from his Insurance Adjusting business he became an avid golfer. He is survived by son David Beck and wife Diane of Lancaster, and son Bryan Beck and wife Karen of Albuequeque, New Mexico. He is also survived by three sisters, Jean Hubbard and husband Emory of Centerville, Ala., Ruth Lang and husband John of Pauma Valley, Calif., and Linda Bumgardner and husband Bill of Boron, Calif. He is also survived by sister-in-law Alice Jo Beck of Bakersfield, Calif., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean, who passed away on June 6, 2013, a son Steven who died at birth, and granddaughter Nicole. Also by his parents Louis and Anna Beck of Boron, Calif., and brother Harold Beck of Bakersfield, Calif. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2013, at Halley Olsen Murphy, Lancaster Chapel. www.homlancaster.com
