Funeral services for Charlie Curlee Johnson, 74, were conducted at 2 o'clock last Saturday afternoon at the Higgins Funeral Home . The Rev. Eugene Fleming officiated, and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson died last Thursday afternoon at his home on the Elk Cotton Mill Road.
He was born in Lincoln County, a son of the late John Mack and Mary Elvira (Pitts) Johnson.
For several years, he was employed by the Elk Oil Company here, and until his recent illness, was employed by Rambo Motor Company.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Idella Wilburn Johnson; one sister, Mrs. Cora Stubblefield of Chattanooga; and one niece, Mrs. Lonnie Speed of Chattanooga.
