Fannie was the first wife of Capt. Joel Harrison McQueen. On the McQueen monument, the side with Fannie's name is very badly worn and the engraved sandstone is falling off in sheets; soon that side will be obliterated (and on my last visit to the cemetery, it had fallen off). Both of Capt. McQueen's wives are listed: Fannie was born 18 Oct 1816 (old inscription book says 1819, which is possible, I suppose, but if so, then Augustus and Saba had an unknown daughter born abt 1816, of which there is no evidence, so Fannie was likely the female born in 1816). She died on her birthday, 18 Oct 1846 (the same book says 1847, but Capt. McQueen was married to Abby Betts by Sep 1847, so 1847 is not possible. The years are the most worn part of the inscription.
Fannie and Joel had one daughter, Saba Virginia.
