Irene Carter was born January 05, 1926 to the late Roy Lee and Della Irene Harris. She left this world on Wednesday, February 06, 2013. Irene worked many ears for Galena Park I.S.D. as a dietician. She and her husband retired to Cleveland and she opened the 1st Brookshire Bros. Deli. Irene and her husband proudly served as active members of the V.F.W. in Cleveland, Texas, Post #1839. For the past 10 years, two of Irene's nieces, Connie Campbell and Geraldine Jeanes, have lovingly seen to her needs.
Graveside services was held at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas with Chaplain Chris Iarossi officiating.
She is preceded in death by her husband David Carter; son David Wayne Carter; granddaughter Stephanie Ann Havner; parents Roy Lee and Della Irene Harris; four sisters Inez Howle, Verde Nell Carter, Louise Greer, Lois Ledbetter; and one brother Henry Lee Harris.
