J. W. ALBERTSON, 74, DIES – Seattle Man King County Deputy Assessor

Jonathan White Albertson, 74, late of Seattle, Wash., died Monday at the Little Flower hospital at Oak Grove, Or.

Mr. Albertson was born in Hereford, N.C., February 9, 1856. He studied for three years at the United States Naval academy at Annapolis, Md., and then attended Cornell university, where he was graduated. Later he completed the study of law at the University of North Carolina. He practiced law in Elizabeth City, N.C. until about 30 years ago, when he moved to Seattle. For a number of years he was associated with the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. He had been employed for the past 16 years as deputy assessor for King county, Washington. He became seriously ill about two months ago, and his brother, Thomas E. Albertson of Portland, had him brought to the Little Flower hospital, where he could care for him.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 1 o'clock in the chapel of Hennessey & Goetsch, under the auspices of the Elks lodge. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery.
