Carl, of Concord went to be with his Savior on June 24, 2013. He was born to Archie R. and Mildred H. Moberg Walters, who preceded him in death, as did his sister, Judith Walters Miller and her son, Mark Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Brigham Walters and her family, and his niece Holly Baran of Sarasota, FL. Carl was a graduate of Ludington Public Schools, Grand Rapids Jr. College, Western and Michigan State Universities.

He taught at Johannesburg, Concord Community Schools and Jackson Public. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Ludington, Concord United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church of Concord.

He had been secretary of the Big 9, a past Concord Village Councilman, a member of the Concord Heritage Association, Hubbard House Museum greeter, member of the Jackson Retired Teachers Association and a dedicated volunteer to the Concord Open Door Free Store.

Service was at the Concord United Methodist Church, Concord, MI, with Pastor Lynne McQuown and Pastor Melany Chalker officiating. Per his wishes cremation has taken place.
