She was raised in Afton attending Creston High School in Creston, Iowa. Hazel married Randall Pote in 1938 and was a homemaker.Surviving is her husband; son Mike Pote of Olalla, Washington; 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Susie White, sisters Grace Eddy and Flora Miller, daughter Pam, and son Steve.
