He later graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law. He had his private law practice in Dodge City and served as the assistant city attorney. He later worked as an administrative law judge for Southwest Kansas. He later moved back to Colorado. he moved to Topeka in 1994.
Survivors are parents of Dodge City,KS;two brothers, Robert R. of Escondido,Calif and Thomas A. of Fort Collins,Co. and a sister, Sheryl Vogel of Topeka and six nephews and nieces.
