The Old Catholic Cemetery is no longer in use. All headstones were removed many years ago by the property owner who had leased the property to Holy Childhood Catholic Church. A large memorial stands in the center of the cemetery honoring those who rest there. The cemetery is located about 1.5 miles west of Mascoutah on Rt 177.
A list of those buried was made by both Frank W. Moll and Oliver H. Waigand. The list was then given to Emmet G.L. Moll, copied and completed in March of 1962. The Moll Funeral Home has preserved this list ever since and has graciously shared it with the St. Clair County Genealogical Society.
