Emerson "Bud" Mayer, age 93, went to his eternal heavenly home on Tuesday April 9, 2013 surrounded by his family and friends at Mill Run Gardens and Care Center, Hilliard.

Born October 24, 1919 in Marysville, Ohio

Father: Albert Mayer
Mother: Flora Mayer

Preceded in death by parents; sister Elda Lyons; brothers Alvin Lee and Burl.

Survived by loving wife of 64 years, Kathryn "Kay"; son Dan (Joanne); daughters Connie (Randy) Wegener and Sherri (Isam) Saleh; grandchildren Brent Yetter, Neal and Katie Wegener, Emily, Tariq and Hannah Saleh; sisters Doris Graham and Betty Davie; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Proud US Army Veteran who served in India, Burma and China during WWII and traveled around the world.

Retired from General Motors after 35 years. Longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church and former member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Marysville, Ohio. He will be remembered as a loving Husband, a great Dad and a proud Grandpa, who always put God and family first.

Friends received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8pm at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 South High Street.

Funeral Service will be held 11am Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, 766 S. High St. where friends will be received 1 hour before the service and procession will form.

Luncheon will follow the service

Burial will follow at Grove City Cemetery. Pastor Larry Kudart officiating.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
