Dave, Buster to his family, was born in Mineral Springs, Arkansas. The family moved to Crowell, Texas and he grew up there. He played football, baseball and was an all around athlete. When WWII started he went off to the army, and was in a terrible crippling auto accident just outside San Antonio, Texas. He was given an honorable medical discharge .
He went to work for Greyhound as a driver in San Antonio. He met my mom there and later they were married. I have to say this, I could not have picked a better stepdad or friend. Dave retired from Greyhound and he and mom lived in Rosenberg, then Richmond Texas on the golf course. Even with his sever handicap he became one heck of a golfer. Mom was just as good. In later years he and mom moved to Mineral Springs, Arkansas. He passed away at the hospital in Texarkana. He is missed!!!
