Keith Wayne Cummings Sr., 60, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, in a Winston-Salem area hospital following a long illness. Born May 25, 1941, at Mabscott, he was the son of Hester Loudermilk Cummings of Mabscott and the late Stanley Cummings. Mr. Cummings was a road construction worker. He was a member of the UMWA and VFW. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include two sons, Keith W. Cummings Jr. and wife, Heather, of Waverly, W.Va. and Alan D. Cummings and wife, Angie, of High Point, N.C.; a grandson, Justin Totten; two stepgrandchildren, Zach and Seth Blair; and six brothers, Dale Cummings of Casa Grande, Ariz., Ronald Cummings of Bridgewater, Va., Laird Cummings of Winston-Salem, N.C., Eric Cummings of Prosperity, Steven Cummings of Mabscott and Bruce Cummings of Las Vegas, Nev. Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Russell Coulter officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Arrangements by Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley.
