Bakers Mills:

Robert A. Harvey, 67, of Edwards Hill Road, passed away, Friday, December 1 2006 after being stricken at his home.

Born November 2, 1939 in Ticonderoga, he was the son of the late Forest and Irene (Davis) Harvey.

Bob was raised in North River and attended the North Creek High School. At the age of 17, he enlisted and served four years in the US Air Force. He went on to re-enlist in the US Navy as a Jet Mechanic for an additional 19 years before retiring from the military.

Bob returned home and spent time as a carpenter and working 13 years at the Adirondack Tri-County Health Care Center in North Creek.

He was a member of the Bakers Mills Vol. Fire Co., an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his hunting buddies in their camp in Sherburne.

He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Judith (Tucker) Harvey of Bakers Mills; his two daughters, Teresa Slater and her husband, Travis of Bakers Mills, Donna Rothschild and her husband, Scott of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Evan Slater, Jacob and Sydney Rothschild; six sisters, Alice Parent of Warrensburg, Barbara Stetson of North River, Stubby McConnell and her husband, Thomas of North Creek, Helen Lawrence and her husband, William of North River, Patricia Harvey of North Creek, Londa Kenyon and her husband, Paul of North Creek; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Bob’s family from 5-7 pm Tuesday at the Alexander Funeral Home, Inc, 4479 State Rt. 28, North River.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ronald Allen, Pastor of the Sodom Community Church officiating.

Burial will take place 10 am Wednesday in the North River Cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of donations to the Johnsburg EMS, North Creek, NY 12853.
