Andrew Paul Moreau, age 86, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Blaire House in Tewksbury. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Cofelice) Moreau, to whom he was married 57 years. He was born in Lowell, May 28, 1926, the son of the late Omar and Alice (Bouressa) Moreau. Andrew served with the United States Coast Guard and Army during WWII and the Korean War. A wounded veteran, he was a recipient of the Purple Heart, 2 Bronze Stars, and 3 Medals of Honor. After the service he worked as a tax examiner with the IRS for 25 years. He was an active member of Lowell VFW 662. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters, Debra Moreau Moore and her husband William of Watertown and Donna Moreau Levesque of Lowell and her companion David Sargent and his son Steven Moreau of Billerica; his brother, Joe Moreau, and his sister, Pricilla Vigent, both of Dracut. He also leaves his 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Annette Tremblay.
