Alice Flora Hahn, 101, of Howard, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Society Home in Howard.

Her funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Howard with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Willoughby Funeral Home in Howard.

Alice Flora Francis was born Oct. 19, 1910, at Chillicothe, Ill., to Loren and Flora (Webster) Francis. When she was 6, her family moved to South Dakota. She graduated from Winfred High School.

She married Conrad Hahn Nov. 25, 1925, at Sioux Falls. They farmed near Roswell for 50 years. They retired and moved into Howard in 1979.

They enjoyed traveling. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Women's Aide Society. She also taught Sunday school for nine years. She was a member of W.D.I. Extension Club, and the Miner County and Howard Senior Citizens. She enjoyed sewing.

She is survived by three daughters, De Ette Jenkins of Norfolk, Neb., Alice Nelson of Lake Oswega, Ore., and Joyce Sorenson of Mitchell; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000; three brothers; three sisters; and three sons-in-law, Tom Sorenson, George Jenkins and Douglas Nelson.
