"At 6:40am on June 17th, 2013, Leslie Bertrum Hayworth, 79, residing in Las Vegas, NV, was fatally injured in a 3-wheel motorcycle crash on I-76, 8 miles west of Fort Morgan, CO. He was on a trip to Anthon, IA for a high school reunion.

There will be a viewing at Kraft & Sussman Funeral Home. It will take place from 4:00pm and last until 7:00pm on Monday, June 24th, 2013. There will be a Funeral Service at 9:20am the following day Tuesday, June 25th, 2013. It will be held at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.

Leslie was born at home near Anthon, Iowa on July 31st, 1933. He graduated from Anthon High School in 1951 and later went on to attend college.

Leslie was married to Kye-Suk Hayworth (Park) for 25 years.

Leslie served in the US military for 20 years and is a veteran of the Korean War, and Vietnam War. He was in the Army for 8 years as a medic, and 12 years in the Air Force as a B-52 Bomb Loader. He also worked as a porter at McCarren Airport. He enjoyed Hiking, reading, gardening, political activism, cooking, photography, leatherworking, carpentry, and mechanical tinkering.

Leslie is survived by his two children, Bertram V. Hayworth, Monica P. Hayworth; His 3 brothers, Dale Hayworth and his wife Virginia, Ron Hayworth and his wife Jerane, Glen Hayworth and his wife Judy, his sisters Bernice Schmidt, and Norma and her husband Merle Oakes, his nieces and nephews, and his friends.

Leslie is preceded in death by his wife Kye-Suk Hayworth, his parents, Vester Hayworth, and Wilma (Dicus) Hayworth; as well as his 3 brothers, Stanley Hayworth, Dean Hayworth, Frank Hayworth, and his sister Betty (Hayworth) Thompson."

Les was nicknamed "Wild Man" amongst his military comrades, and he was appreciated amongst friends and family for his jolly sense of humor and spirited nature.
