Mr. Chapman was a member of the Masonic Lodge in La Follette and 32-year retired engineer for CSX Railroad. He loved to fish and loved Blue Grass Music. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Janet Sharp Chapman of Etowah; daughter Debra and husband Bryan Carver of Old Fort TN; sons Ricky and wife Debi Chapman of Etowah, and Mike and wife Joyce Chapman of Delano TN; grandson Brandon Calhoun of Old Fort; brothers Jack Chapman and James Chapman of La Follette, and Wayne Chapman of Jacksboro TN; and several nieces and nephews.
