John C. Holst, 95. Who makes his home with his daughter Mrs. Peter Schneckloth of 92D West Locust street, Davenport, Ia. Had his 95th birthday Thursday, July 7th and today there is a family reunion. When children and grandchildren will gather for diner and a general good time in the celebration of the Anniversary at the home of his grandson Walter Stutt of Eldridge, Ia.
There will be four generations present.
Mr. Holst was born in Germany. Coming to Scott County when a 19 young man and he remembers the sad voyage took two months or to be exact 67 days.
Mrs. Holst died in 1919, their five children are Mrs. Peter Schneckloth and Mrs. Peter wise of davenport. Herman and George Holst of Eldridge and Mrs. Fred Hobble of Clinton, Ia. There are also 15 grandchildren. There will be over 10 relatives in the assembly today for the jollifications in honor of the birthday.
Mr. Holst is enjoying good health and carries his years well, and his host of good friends will join in the best wishes.
