Clarence Henry Scantlin, a retired furniture craftsman and refinisher, died Wednesday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 91.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Rita Catholic Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Vigil will be at 7 tonight at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Harveson & Cole Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Scantlin was born in Excelsior Springs, Mo., and lived in Fort Worth since 1919.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the St. Rita Catholic Church Building Fund.

Survivors: Wife, Nona Scantlin of Fort Worth; son, the Rev. Joseph Scantlin of Fort Worth; daughter, Joy Scantlin Pemberton of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
