FRONIE attended The Monkstown Methodist Church where she & all of her Edwards' kin were members.

She married "JAMES 'LEE' MCVAY" on 9-26-1923 @ The Monkstown Methodist Church with Rev. W. A. Carter officiating. (I have a newspaper clipping on which Fronie herself wrote their wedding date..."1923"...not 1922 which was later put into print.)

LEE had been a teacher in the area & taught @ the Riverby School & Monkstown School. This school @ Riverby was populated with the children who lived on the 2 large cotton plantations which comprised the Riverby community. The plantations were "The G.W. Will Morgan Farm" & "The Joe Goss Plantation". The school-children's parents either share-cropped or otherwise worked on the 25,000 acres that comprised the 2 plantations. Lee talked Fronie into becoming a teacher after they were married. She attended North TX State Teachers College @ Denton. She taught @ Ivanhoe with her husband in the late 1920's.

She wanted children but miscarried several times. She & Lee adopted a son in 1936. They named him after their dear friend, G.W. Will Morgan; their son's middle name was Morgan: "Larry Morgan McVay" (b: 11-18-1936). Will & Mattie Morgan were FRONIE & Lee's dear friends from their time @ Riverby until the Morgan's deaths in Paris in 1958 & 1966, respectively.

Lee was superintendent of local schools in the NE TX area as well as being a: developer, real estate broker, builder, farmer, rancher, & rose gardener; & he dearly loved to play the stock market! FRONIE loved to cook & attend church. She & Lee moved to Paris in 1942. FRONIE & Lee became charter members & founders of The Church of the Nazarene in Paris. She was fiercely loyal to her family & loved ones. She crocheted but didn't like to sew.

She was left a widow in June of 2001. LEE passed away on
6-1-2001 in Paris, Lamar Co., TX. Their marriage had lasted 78+ years!
