Joy (Joyce) Claudette Cecilia Tezon Hubbard age 76 born 1936 to 2013 .
Her family was in Boonville yesterday to meet with Larry and his daughter . Joy died April 7th 2013 and they brought her ashes to Sts. Peter and Paul cemetery to inter her Father Leonard and Mother Lily Tezon .

our marvelous, free-spirited Joy died late April 7 2013 Sunday afternoon.
We were all able to be with her this past week - telling stories, singing, laughing, giving her kisses and love and receiving her gorgeous smile in return.
We are so glad that each of you was able to share your voice and love with her, and receive a smile 'long-distance'.

On Sunday night the sky here was bright with stars - Joy among them, shining as brightly as the rest.

Joy (Joyce) Claudette Cecilia Tezon Hubbard... lover of the Great Outdoors, all animals (wild and domestic!), marathon running (New York, Boston, & the Marine Marathons), hours of swimming, her 'Christmas birthday', fun music, ice cream and fresh strawberries, and a good bit of silliness...

We are celebrating Joy's life by being active in ways she would enjoy and appreciate. If you'd like to celebrate too, perhaps you might: take a walk through your neighborhood or favorite park, enjoying the jet contrails in the sky above and greeting neighbors and dogs walking by; participate in the next Run/Walk that comes your way or hop in the pool for a few laps; take time out at your favorite nature preserve or zoo, or adopt an animal that needs a home; hang a bird feeder and watch the birds (and the deer and the squirrels...) indulge in a scoop of your favorite ice cream "a la Joy" - with fresh strawberries on the top!

Honoring Joy's wish for cremation, Larry and the daughters will have a private remembrance, and then will be scattering her ashes in places she loved best.
In case anyone asks, in lieu of gifts, a "tribute/memorial" donation to Alzheimer's Association (alz.org), or one of your favorite charities would be appreciated.
