Born on November 22, 1939, at Racine Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Walter Scott Harrington and Marjorie Bates Harrington.
Mr. Harrington was a former owner and operator of Harrington Truck Lines and was a member of the Perry Memorial United Methodist Church at Shady Spring. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and going to races.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Harrington.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of sixty-two years, Donna Mathis Harrington; his son, Daniel Harrington and wife Dolores of Cool Ridge, foster son, Rick Richmond and wife Carol of Grandview, and adopted daughter, Jasmine Adams and husband Corey of Beckley. Grandchildren, Steve Harrington and wife Mary of Columbus, Ohio, Destiny Harrington of Cool Ridge, Mark Richmond of Grandview, Kate Fortner of Cool Ridge, and Joshua Harrington of Beckley; great grandchildren, Zemora Harrington of Cool Ridge, and Bailey Fortner of Cool Ridge.
Committal services and burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum in Beckley on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 3 PM with Elder Tommy Pack officiating. Friends may visit with the family thirty minutes prior to the services at the mausoleum. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
