Alice was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother and sister. She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church, and the Riverside Circle Club. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and embroidering. Her family recalls her time spent gardening and canning just about everything. Alice loved to raise flowers. For years she worked along side her husband Clifford, with the farming and ranching. Alice loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed by them all.
Surviving family members include her children, Betty Donley of Montrose, Walter Dwight ‘Dutch'(Dorothy) Sanburg of Castle Rock, Colorado, Barbara Jean (Jim) Longwell of Montrose, Colorado, Jay Bryce (Jeanette) Sandburg of Grand Junction, Colorado; 13 grandchildren, and numerous great, and great-great Grandchildren; Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, in memory of Alice Sanburg, P.O. Box 1804, Montrose, Co. 81402. A Memorial Service in celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel, with Dick Baker officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at Valley Lawn Cemetery, south of Montrose. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
