PATTERSON, Edwin D. 78 of Springfield died Sunday, September 4, 2005 in Essex of Springfield. He was born in Cedarville Township on September 14, 1926, the son of Paul Dresser and Dora Marie (Potts) Patterson. Ed served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of VFW Post 8673. He owned and operated Ed's Lawnmower Repair Shop. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Tony Patterson. Survivors include his children Rodney (Cyndi) Patterson, Deborah Baugh, Connie (Reece) McFarland, David Patterson, and Oliver Thompson all of Springfield; Eddie Johnson of Florida; ten grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren. Memorial services will be Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 7 p.m. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
